I am a Writer and a Teacher.

‘Enjoy’ is not a word that I associate with my writing. Challenged, questioning, and intrigued are closer to what I hope the reader experiences. It’s not that I have all the answers, but I certainly have many questions.

I could provide ‘facts’ such as that I earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (which I am pleased about, though I tend to refer to this time as 3½ years God was keeping me out of trouble). I could talk about my work life by sharing that I have taught on the college level, was the Head Cashier at our family bank for over 10 years, or was employed as a CSM at my local Walmart. I adore Scottish Terriers and was owned by 2 of them for over 15 years. Perhaps I am a devoted Anglophile – love England and all things English?

But none of that says anything that shares the ‘I’ in me. All the bits and pieces identify the external me, but you have little understanding of who I am, who I’m becoming, Who I am, nor how I go about being me from ‘facts’. However, you will better understand me and what’s important to me if you read any of my writings. I do love to write, and my emphasis is helping Christians of any age to begin or continue their journey of discovering who they are and what’s essential as they grow as Christians.
