Tom Nelson has been a well-known gentleman in the Prairie du Chien area.  Some of his many accomplishments have been as a teacher, a leader, a motivator, and a man of integrity to many.  These are not shallow words, as those who know Tom will recognize his persistence and determination with everything he puts his hands to.

"Oh That Tree" is a walk through many introspections that Tom has had with his Arbor Day Quest.  Tom presents a heartfelt collection of short stories that are a joy to read.

Tom and his wife Cathie have spearheaded a project on St. Feriole Island in Prairie du Chien, WI, called "Gardens of St. Feriole."  This project brings a beautiful experience for visitors to Prairie du Chien's St. Feriole Island, with beautiful flowers through his efforts and many community volunteers.  The Gardens should be on your itinerary if you enjoy walking amongst beauty.
