These handwoven rugs are made up of hundreds of short pieces of fabric sewn together and then woven on the loom. The fabric will be pieces of silky clothing materials. I try to make these rugs using the same type of material throughout so that when washing, they are similar.
While most, if not all, of the fabrics in this rug will have been laundered, the rug itself will not be washed, so at its first washing, please be prepared that it may shrink to a small degree. You may machine washable or dry clean. It may also be machine dried, but I suggest drying it about half dry, then letting it air dry the rest of the way to keep shrinking to a minimum.
Each rug will vary in size and color, which is in its description.
Please note that anything on the floor, including rugs, increases the odds of a trip. Please be careful!
